I photograph people. People and emotions and the deep connections we carry through life.

My focus is on adventurous couple and elopement sessions, vacation family sessions and authentic portraits, all the while paying close attention to the surrounding, weaving Ireland's wild landscapes into the photos before zooming in to the intimate moments.

Photography is so much more than a photo. It is a story frozen in time.

INVISIBLE LINE

Photography has been a part of me, a part of my life, for as long as I can remember.

Growing up in Latvia, I remember going into our back garden as a child with my family’s first digital camera, taking snapshots of flowers, trees, birds in the sky, anything I felt connected to.

Photography stayed with me through university, I took it along with me when I went travelling; photography has always been me. It has been the one constant, throughout my life, that invisible line, that kept me grounded, no matter how my surrounding changed or how the people around me came and left.

Being a photographer is what I am, it is how I express myself, and what I love to share with the world.

Style

Photographs are captured memories. What do your memories look like?

To me, they resemble movie stills - not a crisp, full HD scene, but rather it’s like I am remembering certain images; a bit blurry, grainy and sometimes in motion. But they are always accompanied with a feeling, a story, a deep emotion.

I try to mirror this in my photography. I want the photos to feel authentic, to carry a meaning and tell a story.

Your story.

My approach

I am a storytelling photographer.

But my photography is more than just storytelling. It is deep, it is meaningful, it is in the moment, and yet lasts a lifetime.

When you look at your photos ten years from now, I want you to still feel the emotions you felt when we captured them together.

Candid. Real.

Observing & Guiding

I pre-dominantly take on the approach of an observer in our photoshoots. I want you to be at ease and focus on each other instead of thinking about me capturing you.

Hold hands, laugh, dance to a song you are humming out loud, gaze into each other’s eyes, play together.

Just be you, in the moment.

I am also there to give you guidance.

I know how hard it can be to relax in front of the camera and that you might be stuck and run out of poses to do. When that happens, I will be there to guide you and let the photoshoot flow seamlessly.

This is a safe place where we come together not just to capture images, but to enjoy every moment of the process.

We are a good fit if

My love language is quality time. Two seas and 5 countries divide me from my family, so if there is one thing I know it is this: Spending quality time with your loved ones is one of the single most important things you can do in your life.

Life is so fragile and we never know how long we have together. Any time we get to share is precious.

I am here to capture those heartfelt moments you share with your loved ones.

We are a good fit, if you are looking for more than just a few photos to put up on your wall or post online. If you want to have photographs full of meaning and emotion, if you want to capture you and your loved ones in those intimate moments to look back on for a lifetime, you have come to the right place.

Whether it's a couple, engagement or family session or simply photos from your trip to Ireland; I always try and portray connections and add depth to my photography.

My second love language is physical touch and I try to incorporate that in my photographs. Words are so meaningful and necessary but not always so easy to express. I love how much we can express  simply through touch. Hands. A stroke of the cheek, a gentle kiss on the lips.

Just like close ups and details tell essential part of the story.

What inspires me

People. Nature. Connections.

I'm inspired by  connections between people and connections between people and nature.

The gentle pastel colours of an evening, the crescent of a moon, a tall mountain, a bird in the sky, a crash of a wave or the roar of stormy winds, the dance of light and shadow on the curtains, the scent of the flowers, unseen places and warmth of the sun inspire me…

You inspire me.

The way you interact with your loved ones inspires me, Moves me to lift my camera and capture it. I am in awe and love of life  and how we get to be a part of it.

Let’s get inspired together.

Let’s celebrate life, Ireland's wild nature and you through my photographs.
