Cliffs of Moher Elopement at Hags Head | Tiffany & Stephen’s Wild Ireland Adventure

When eloping, the sky’s the limit. There’s so much freedom in choosing the landscape that surrounds you, creating a timeline that feels right, deciding who to share it with (or keeping it just the two of you). It gives you the space to truly be present, to soak it all in as it unfolds and let your personalities shine through.

Tiffany and Stephen’s Cliffs of Moher elopement at Hags Head was the perfect example of what an intimate, adventure-filled wedding day in Ireland can look like.

Adventurous elopement at the Cliffs of Moher

Traveling from the US to Elope in Ireland

Tiffany and Stephen travelled from the United States to celebrate their love in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world — the west coast of Ireland. Like many couples dreaming of an Ireland elopement, they wanted something deeply personal, wildly romantic, and surrounded by nature.

They chose to stay in the charming seaside village of Doolin, known for its cozy cottages, traditional Irish music, and views of the Atlantic.

We began their day with a private first look beside the cottage where they were staying in Doolin. It was quiet, emotional, and beautifully intimate — just the two of them before the adventure began.

Handfasting Ceremony at Hags Head, Cliffs of Moher

Instead of a traditional wedding, they chose a meaningful handfasting ceremony at Hags Head, the most southern and often quieter end of the Cliffs of Moher.

With the Atlantic wind in their hair and dramatic cliffs rising behind them, they read vows they had written themselves. There is something incredibly powerful about standing on ancient Irish cliffs, promising your lives to each other with nothing but ocean and sky as witnesses.

Hags Head is perfect for couples looking for a more secluded Cliffs of Moher elopement location — raw, wild, and endlessly cinematic.

Adventure Portraits at Doonagore Castle

After their ceremony, we explored more of County Clare for their adventure couple session. One of our stops was the iconic Doonagore castle, a romantic round tower castle overlooking the Aran Islands.

This is one of my favorite spots for elopement photos in Ireland — dramatic skies, rolling green fields, and timeless Irish character all in one place.

Tiffany and Stephen fully embraced their special day. Every moment felt beautifully and wildly them.

Ending the Day with Guinness in a Doolin Pub

No Doolin elopement would be complete without finishing the evening in a cozy local pub. We ended their wedding day with creamy pints of Guinness at McDermott's pub and that relaxed, joyful feeling that only comes after a day well spent.

From cliffside vows to castle views to pints in the pub — their elopement was romantic, adventurous, and completely intentional.
